Use either the 80/20 beef or 50/50 pork and beef. Meatballs taste better cooked in marinara sauce. It also makes the sauce taste better. I like to use Panko bread crumbs. You can use beef broth instead of milk if you want it more meaty than rich.

  • 1 lbs 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 lbs 50/50 ground pork and beef
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese

  • 1 tlbs fennel seed
  • salt

    Steps for Completion
  1. Combine the bread crumbs with the milk and let sit for a few minutes for the milk to be absorbed.
  2. Mince onions and garlic very fine. Scramble the eggs.
  3. Combine all ingredients together and roll into balls 1in to 2in big.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 15 to 20 minutes until the center is 165°F.
